12/28/10 - 1837 La Mesa Drive, Santa Monica, Contractors excavating damaged a high pressure gas main. Protection lines were charged as the gas company attempted to shut down the line. 6 residents were sheltered in place in the house on the property. Engine 4 remained on scene for a number of hours while the source was secured. This was the 2nd gas main incident during the construction project.
