7/19/11: Cliff Rescue, 1 mile south of Tunnel 1 on Malibu Canyon Road (67's district). Victim had been hiking with friends and sustained injuries which prevent him from hiking out of the canyon. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Malibu Search and Rescue Team and Los Angeles County Fire Department units, including Urban Search and Rescue Specialists, worked for over three hours to extract the victim from the canyon. The victim was transported by Copter 14 to UCLA Medical Center.
