EMS 6 was first on scene. Reported a female over the side about 100 feet. I arrived on scene with USAR task force 85, they were sans rig and transported equiptment in the rescue and the plug buggy. Task force 48 was over the side at the victim. She had been impaled by a piece of rebar through her thigh. This prevented her from going the rest of the way down the slope. She was extricated from the rebar using an axe and moved up the slope using a stokes to a spot where the copter could perform a hoist.
