4/14/12: 2nd Alarm Residential Structure Fire. 19432 Foxdale Circle (Huntington Beach), 2 story single family dwelling with fire in the walls and the attic.

1st Alarm: HB Engine 46, 45, 48, HB Truck 45, HB Truck 42, HB Battalion 4
2nd alarm: Fountain Valley Batt 3, HE43, HE42, HE41, FV T31, Costa Mesa USAR84

Incident Summary from Bob Culhane, Deputy Fire Marshal, Huntington Beach Fire Department:
HBFD crews responded to a report of smoke in the house. Upon arrival, at 2:51 pm, the first crew found light smoke throughout the inside of the house, but had difficulty finding any fire. A search of the house resulted in finding active flames in the area surrounding the water heater in the garage. As the crews fought the fire in the garage they also identified active burning in the walls which had spread across the floor of the second story and extended up to the attic. The fire was eventually declared under control at 3:38 pm. The owner of the house was at home at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
